Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API, and YouTube API.
A GDG can take many forms - from just a few people getting together to watch Google's latest video, to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons. However, at the core, GDGs are focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers.
News: As the tee shirt hints we are in planning stages for this years 4th year of Devfest. It is now called Valley Devfest to recognize the wide geographic area represented by 4 GDG groups all working to create the best event ever. Recognition goes to Merced, Oakdale, Visalia and Fresno on Saturday 22 of October at Bitwise South Stadium. Watch here for updates and a link to our remodeled Website.
GDG Fresno has regular tech talks the first Thursday of the month (see calendar) and has provided hackathons too. There has been some affiliated groups arise like an active local Women Techmaker (see calendar) which meets the third Sunday of the month and information about meeting is through our calendar link and Meetup.
