Women Techmakers Fresno is proud to be hosting the 2017 International Women's Day Celebration, a women's tech conference. This one-day event will be highlighting the stories of our ever growing female community of designers, developers, and tech entrepreneurs. There will be 4 parallel tracks filled with engaging talks and discussions, hands-on activities brought to you by Fresno Ideaworks, codelabs, and much more. Be a part of the Valley's larges women's tech conference and get ready to be inspired.
Date: March 19th 9 am to 4 pm Location: at Bitwise South Stadium
Women Techmakers is taking the lead on this program as part of Fresno GDG coordinating regional body. Specifics about tracks and speakers are under development and expect it to be modeled like the 2016 event with great talks and speakers.
Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API, and YouTube API.
A GDG can take many forms - from just a few people getting together to watch Google's latest video, to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons. However, at the core, GDGs are focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers.
GDG Fresno has regular tech talks the first Thursday of the month (see calendar) and has provided hackathons too. There has been some affiliated groups arise like an active local Women Techmaker (see calendar) which meets the third Sunday of the month and information about meeting is through our calendar link and Meetup.
